If the DLC is close to the driver's knee or feet, it helps to reposition the scan tool if the ELM327 bluetooth is blocked while driving.

If the user needs to plug and unplug frequently, the car can extend the life of DLC and ELM327 bluetooth.

If the ELM327 bluetooth signal is not clear when the dlc is too far below the stearing wheel, it helps to get a stronger signal by repositioning the ELM327 bluetooth.
